PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 5-23-2016
From the office of Todd Darden, Big Spring City Manager

Due to the storm activity that occurred on May 22, 2016,
the City of Big Spring Water Treatment Plant lost electrical
power. Personnel were able to start emergency generators
at the plant at approximately 5:30 p.m. on May 23, 2016,
allowing the plant to resume water treatment. Personnel
are currently in the process of replenishing the plant and
hope to resume normal water pressure on May 24, 2016.
The City Manager's office asks Big Spring residents to use
water for essential needs only as the plant gets through the
next critical twenty-four hours. We appreciate your assistance
in this matter and apologize for any inconvenience.
