Mission
We are committed to providing the community with high-quality, proactive services and programs to enhance the quality of life of our residents, businesses, and visitors while promoting a well designed, physically integrated, livable, and prosperous community through personal attention, detailed and accurate information, and timely responses in a manner that instills public trust and confidence while exceeding service expectations.

What We Do
We collaborate with citizens, neighborhood and business groups, designers and engineers, as well as other City departments, City Council and its commissions to assess every aspect involved in a planning project, land use or development proposal. We also ensure that the Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Ordinance, Comprehensive Plan and associated maps are updated as mandated by State and local laws and that they are followed, accordingly.
