Outdoor Burning

Outdoor burning is regulated by the Texas Natural Resources Conservation Commission (TNRCC) and the Big Spring Fire Marshall. Any outdoor burning must be approved by Big Spring Fire Marshall's Office. Permission for burning may be obtained by contacting:

Carl Condray, City of Big Spring Fire Marshall
(432) 264-2305
Office Hours:  Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

All burn requests are judged on a case-by-case basis and the privilege to burn may be revoked any time at the discretion of the Fire Marshall.

Bonfires will be held at the Compost Facility as designated by the facilities manager.  Approval of bonfires will be through the Fire Marshall's office.
